Andrology

Male factor is a contributor to infertility in approximately 45% of cases. It is extremely important that the male receive a thorough work-up and evaluation by a laboratory experienced in diagnosing male factor infertility. Despite its importance in infertility assessment, strict evaluation criteria is not used by many laboratories.

Additional services provided by the andrology laboratory are sperm cryopreservation (freezing). This program led to the development of a comprehensive donor sperm program to assist couples who desire to have children through artificial insemination using a donor (AID).
